Hot Water Cylinder for a Tree House

When you were thinking about building a tree house as a child, ensuring it had piping hot water would possibly not have been top of your wish list, however McDonald Engineers has delivered just that for a client in Wales.

The company, which is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of bespoke hot water cylinders, were asked to design, manufacture and supply an indirect combination hot water cylinder for a luxury tree house in a Welsh forest.

The bespoke 65 litre cylinder measured 750mm x 450mm to suit the available space and featured a quick recovery coil to provide sufficient hot water for guests to the unique accommodation.

McDonald Engineers’ Sales Director, Jamie Stewart, commented, “We are regularly asked to design and manufacture bespoke hot water cylinders to fit into tight spaces with unique specifications, however we haven’t supplied too many for tree houses.”

He continued, “However we approach every project in the same way, whether it’s a one off cylinder or a cylinder design for major housing development. Our technical sales team work with the project team to identify the most efficient system, with the optimum size and specification to suit the required hot water demands.”
