McDonald Engineers has stepped up its campaign to revolutionise the rectangular hot water tank market by launching a number of tools to make the specification of its CUBEflow even easier. The first tool to be introduced is a ready reckoner to clearly show its comparative products to previous manufacturers including Elson and Rolyat. And to support its commitment to customer service, McDonald Engineers has produced a CUBEflow sketch sheet to enable architects, engineers and installers to specify exactly what they want quickly and easily.

McDonald Engineers Managing Director, Bill Stewart, has completed the challenge of a lifetime as he scaled Africa’s highest mountain and the world’s highest free standing mountain all in the name of charity. Bill, together with his wife Mairead, set off some 2 weeks ago with a team from the Rotary Club of Kirkcaldy and after 5 gruelling days of climbing, successfully reached the summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

McDonald Engineers has seen a sharp rise in the demand for its CUBEflow range following the announcement that Elson will stop production of rectangular hot water tanks at the end of this month.

McDonald Engineers has a long standing reputation as a manufacturer of rectangular hot water tanks however, the company had been manufacturing them as a bespoke item as opposed to offering a standard range.

McDonald Engineers has demonstrated why it’s the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke hot water cylinders, by designing and manufacturing a highly technical cylinder that no other manufacturer was prepared to take on.

After discussing the project at length with the client, McDonald Engineers team specified an ELECTRAflow vented thermal store featuring eight immersion heaters, a solid fuel capability and two domestic hot water draw off coils.

McDonald Engineers has announced that it is to launch a range of rectangular hot water tanks following the appointment of Doug Rodgerson who has joined the company from Elson Hot Water. The appointment follows Elson Hot Water’s decision to move out of the rectangular hot water copper tank market after many years of producing high quality units. McDonald Engineer’s CUBEflow range of rectangular copper tanks will be available in a range of direct, indirect and thermal stores with full production beginning early 2012.
