The antimicrobial properties of copper have been featured on the BBC’s One Show and it was demonstrated just how powerful copper can be at killing bacteria such as MRSA which has claimed over 37,000 deaths in Europe.

More importantly, the feature compared the properties of copper and stainless steel when millions of MRSA bugs were placed on the 2 materials. The results were incredible. Copper started killing the life threatening bacteria and had virtually wiped them out in 30 seconds and within minutes they had completely gone! On the other hand, the MRSA positively thrived on Stainless Steel.

The feature is another testament to the unrivalled properties of copper as featured in our “Copper’s Natural Super Powers” report and demonstrates why it should be your material of choice for hot water cylinders and calorifiers.
