CUBEflow Delivers Perfect Replacement For Rectangular Tanks

Monday, 24 March 2014

McDonald Engineers has manufactured and supplied 37 of its CUBEflow sealed system indirect hot water tanks, which were custom designed to provide an exact like for like replacement of existing rectangular units.

The project was part of a major refurbishment project, for a local authority in England, which was carried out whilst the properties were being occupied. Speed and ease of installation therefore, was absolutely critical.

The original supplier had made the decision to stop manufacturing the unit and therefore the contractor on the project asked McDonald Engineers to develop a solution.

McDonald Engineers’ Sales Director, Jamie Stewart, explained “We had previously worked with the contractor on another project, who was fully aware of our ability to deliver bespoke solutions, to optimise the installation process.”

After carrying out a detailed survey of the existing systems, McDonald Engineers developed a solution using its 110litre CUBEflow, with perfectly placed connections which meant the contractor could simply remove and replace the existing tank, without changing any pipework.

Jamie continued, “We have seen a dramatic increase in demand for our CUBEflow rectangular hot water tanks. This is thanks to our ability to develop these custom solutions, which can become exact replacements for competitor’s units and so minimise the installation costs.”
