McDonald Engineers have added yet another major celebrity to its list of prestigious clients, having worked in conjunction with a mechanical engineer to design the optimum hot water system for Andy Murray’s luxury Cromlix House Hotel development in Scotland.
The company supplied four of its 700 Litre POWERflow Commercial Hot Water Cylinders which were designed to suit the space available and deliver a highly efficient solution which could deliver all of the hot water requirements for guests.
The cylinders were also designed to feature rapid recovery, removable battery type heat exchangers, to respond to any surge in demand for hot water whilst also allowing any maintenance to be carried out quickly and efficiently with very little impact on the guests’ experience.
McDonald Engineers’ Sales Director, Jamie Stewart said, “We are all incredibly proud to have any link with such a sporting great as Andy Murray and our production team took great delight in manufacturing the units for such a prestigious job”.
He continued “We have designed and delivered this type of system for a number of similar types of projects where the demand for hot water can vary greatly on a daily basis. By having all 4 cylinders capable of working both independently and in sequence with rapid recovery, the system is more than capable of delivering all of the hot water requirements for this luxury hotel. The design also means that any one of the cylinders can be taken offline to carry out planned or emergency maintenance with great ease.”
