Social Housing Turns to Renewable Hot Water Cylinders

McDonald Engineers has supplied 12 of its Contract POWERflow unvented cylinders complete with heat pump and solar coils for the refurbishment of social housing in the west of Scotland.

The company’s Contract POWERflow can provide a cost effective alternative for larger projects requiring lower specification unvented cylinders.

And whilst the Contract POWERflow may be a more simplified unit than the original POWERflow, McDonald Engineers continue to offer a full customisation service to allow clients to include additional coils for use with multiple fuel sources.

McDonald Engineers’ Sales Director, Jamie Stewart, explained “The Contract POWERflow is particularly popular with the social housing market as it delivers all the energy efficiency and bacteria killing properties delivered by a copper cylinder, but with a slightly reduced spec and a cost to match.”

He continued, “We are completely focused on delivering solutions that meet the needs of our clients and by spending more time with clients at the front end advising on potential alternatives, we can design and manufacture the right cylinder for the client. This could result in significant savings whether it’s in the installation times or indeed the ongoing running costs.”
