McDonald Engineers has secured the contract to supply over 20 of its ELECTRAflow Electric Wet Thermal Stores for the refurbishment of a sheltered housing scheme.
The company secured the contract after working closely with the design team to understand the challenges they were facing and developed a bespoke solution which was tailored to their exact requirements.
McDonald Engineers proposed an electrical thermal store solution which featured a smaller capacity than the existing cylinders to suit the number of occupants and the tariff.
This enabled the project team to reduce the running costs whilst delivering mains pressure hot water. In addition, the fact that thermal stores require no ongoing maintenance ensured the elderly residents would not be disrupted in the future.
Sales Director, Jamie Stewart, explained “Electric thermal stores were the perfect solution for this project and by reducing the capacity slightly we were able to achieve even greater savings.”
He continued, “The response after the installation has been fantastic and the client is already reporting immediate savings, once again demonstrating the value of our design expertise to ensure you get the right solution for your project.”
