McDonald Engineers is adding its support to another team famed for its engineering and speed by sponsoring Rory Butcher who drives for Scottish Sports car team, Celtic Speed, in the Porsche Carrera cup. The manufacturer of copper cylinders has signed the deal that will see them become one of Rory’s sponsors throughout the forthcoming 2011 season, as he competes in 20 races in the major support championship to the British Touring Cars. Rory is one of the sport’s brightest young prospects with many accolades. These include runner up in last season’s British GT4 championship, Scottish Formula Ford Champion and winner of the 2009 Formula Ford Festival, a title previously won by current F1 drivers, Jenson Button and Mark Webber. McDonald Engineers’ Managing Director, Bill Stewart, explained “We are delighted to be able to sponsor Rory as he looks to take the next step in his successful career and make a real impact in the Porsche Carrera Cup this season.” Bill continued, “The Porsche Carrera Cup is a superb competition and we are looking forward to monitoring Rory’s progress over the coming season.” For more information on the Celtic Speed team visit www.celticspeed.eu or contact McDonald Engineers for more information.
