Renewable Energy Hot Water Cylinders
With the ever-increasing demand for energy efficiency within
our homes and the workplace, McDonald Engineers have developed a range of
cylinders suitable for use with all forms of Renewable Energy including Thermal Solar Panels and Heat Pumps.
Based around a highly efficient Heat Exchanger, the cylinders can utilise
the free energy from the sun or latent energy converted by a heat pump to
give piping hot water.
These cylinders are available in all standard sizes with a Single Solar
Coil with immersion heater or as a ‘Dual Coil’ unit to allow the use of
a central heating boiler to boost the pre-heated water in the cooler months.
Our ECOflow heat pump cylinder provides an off the shelf solution as well as a completely bespoke manufacturing service.
The POWERflow range of Mains Pressure Unvented Cylinders and THERMflow
Thermal Storage System can also be modified to incorporate a Solar/Heat
Pump heat exchanger to provide unbeatable hot water performance. The combination
of free/cheap hot water at mains pressure is unbeatable.
