Marine Calorifiers
McDonald Engineers provide Marine Calorifiers for hot water in addition to their calorifier range made from copper, which, can be made to any specification for any size of vessel.
Flexible with the dimensions and sizes, we provide a bespoke service dependent on your requirements
Regardless of the specification, McDonald Engineers will ensure that the unit is simple to install and, if required, can supply the unit in sections for erection on site.
Although the specification is normally unvented, the spec can be changed to accommodate:
- Vented or Unvented
- Horizontal or Vertical
- Polyurethane Foam Lagging Insulation or Rockwool
- Insulation with a galvanised steel or aluminium case
- Single Copper Coil or Double Copper Coil
- Marine Immersion Heater
Renowned for its natural antibacterial properties, copper significantly reduces the risk of legionella. However, there is still the option to add a destratification pump to circulate the water and further reduce this risk.
We manufacture to BS 853, 1566 and 699 and hold two Kitemark licences for copper cylinders. A BSI approved quality plan to ISO 9002 is followed and each Calorifier is rigorously tested to ensure problem free installation and operation.
